Terms of Use

By using LockIn you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What LockIn is

LockIn is a habit-accountability tool. You set a plan and commit a fund of your own money, check in to your habits daily, and each check-in releases a share of that fund into your LockIn wallet. LockIn is not a contest or a game of chance, and not an investment, deposit scheme or bank account. There is no prize pool, and no one else can win your money. You cannot get back more than you put in.

Eligibility and account

• You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract.
• You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Give accurate information, including your UPI ID for withdrawals.

Commitment funds

• You choose a plan and commit a fund at or above the plan minimum. Payment is processed via Razorpay and the fund is held by LockIn while your program runs.
• Each completed check-in releases its share of the fund to your wallet. Your plan includes grace days; missing a day within that allowance has no cost.
• If you miss more check-ins than your plan allows, the share of the fund for each extra missed check-in is not released and is retained by LockIn to run the program. It is never paid to other users.

Check-ins and honesty

Check-ins are self-reported. Do not submit false or misleading check-ins or photos, use multiple accounts, abuse referrals, or try to tamper with the service. We may suspend an account, hold or reverse released amounts connected to abuse, and refuse withdrawals where we reasonably suspect fraud.

Withdrawals

Released money sits in your wallet. When you have no active program you can request a withdrawal to your UPI ID. Withdrawals are reviewed and paid manually, usually within 2–3 working days. See the Refund Policy for details.

Friends, invites and referral rewards

• Friends are a one-way follow: you follow someone by their username.
• When you invite a friend and they start their first program, you both get +1 grace day. You can receive this reward a maximum of 3 times.
• Referral rewards are grace days only. They are never paid in cash, cannot be withdrawn and have no money value.
• Accepting an invite makes you follow the person who invited you. They can follow you back if they choose. You can unfollow at any time.
• We may withhold or reverse rewards linked to fake accounts or other misuse, and may change or end the referral programme; rewards already applied are not taken away except for misuse.

Acceptable use

Do not use LockIn for anything unlawful, to harm others, to disrupt or probe the service, or to upload content you do not have the right to share.

Our responsibility

LockIn is early-stage software provided as is. We work to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that it will change your habits. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount of funds you have committed that remain unreleased at the time of the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using LockIn at any time, subject to the Refund Policy for funds in an active program. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first contact us with any complaint so we can try to resolve it; see the Grievance page. Courts in India will have jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection law.

Changes
