How it works
Commit, check in, earn it back.
Here is exactly how the money moves, from your first payment to your UPI.
- 01
Pick habits and a plan
Choose one or more daily habits (exercise, meditation, reading, journaling, a no-screen hour and others) and a plan length from five days to a year.
- 02
Commit a fund
Put in a fund of your own money. Each plan has a minimum. Payment is processed via Razorpay and the fund is held by LockIn while your program runs.
- 03
Check in every day
Your fund is split across your habits, then across the check-ins in your plan. Each check-in earns its share back into your LockIn wallet; it unlocks when the program ends.
- 04
Grace days
Every day of your plan is one check-in worth an equal share of your fund. On top of that, each plan includes grace days: missing a day inside that allowance still counts as done and costs nothing.
- 05
Missing beyond your grace days
If you miss more days than your grace days cover, the share tied to each extra missed day is not released to you. LockIn keeps it to run the program.
- 06
Withdraw or roll over
Money you earn back is yours and does not expire. What a program earns unlocks when that program ends; you can then withdraw it to your UPI ID, or roll it into a new program, even if another program is running. Withdrawals are reviewed and paid manually, usually within 2–3 working days.
Plans
Minimum fund, check-in days and the grace days each plan adds on top.
| Plan | Minimum fund | Check-in days | Grace days |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 days | ₹99 | 5 (one a day) | +0 |
| 15 days | ₹299 | 15 (one a day) | +2 |
| 1 month | ₹499 | 30 (one a day) | +4 |
| 3 months | ₹999 | 90 (one a day) | +13 |
| 1 year | ₹2,999 | 365 (one a day) | +54 |
Figures assume one daily check-in per habit. You can commit more than the minimum. The FAQ covers missed days, withdrawals and what LockIn is not.
