FAQ

Straight answers.

Money, missed days and withdrawals, in plain language.

What is LockIn?

LockIn is a habit-accountability app. You commit a fund of your own money to a plan, check in to your daily habits, and each check-in releases a share of that fund back to you.

Is LockIn a contest or a game of chance?

No. There is no luck, no prize pool and no competition for money. Other users never win your money. Your outcome depends only on your own check-ins.

Where does my money go when I commit?

Payments are processed via Razorpay. Your fund is held by LockIn while your program runs, and each check-in earns a share back into your LockIn wallet. It stays locked until the program ends, then you withdraw it to your UPI.

How much do I have to commit?

Each plan has a minimum fund: ₹99 for 5 days, ₹299 for 15 days, ₹499 for 1 month, ₹999 for 3 months and ₹2,999 for 1 year. You can commit more.

What if I miss a day?

Each plan has grace days on top of its daily check-ins (referral friends can add more). A missed day is covered by a grace day from the next day on, and costs you nothing. If you miss more days than your grace days cover, the share of the fund for each extra missed day is not released to you and is retained by LockIn to run the program.

When can I withdraw?

Money you earn back sits in your LockIn wallet, locked until the program it came from ends, and does not expire. Once a program has ended you can request a withdrawal of what it earned to your UPI ID, or roll it into a new program, even if you have another program running. Withdrawals are reviewed and paid manually, usually within 2–3 working days.

Do I get back more than I put in?

No. The most you can earn back is the fund you committed. LockIn is not an investment and does not pay returns.

Is LockIn a registered company?

LockIn is an early-stage product and company registration is not complete yet. We will update this page when that changes.

Do I get anything for inviting friends?

Yes, but never money. When a friend you invite starts their first program, you both get +1 grace day, up to a maximum of 3 rewards. Your friend then follows you automatically.

How do friends work?

Friends are a one-way follow. Add people by their username. LockIn does not ask for your phone number or read your contacts.

Is there an Android app?
